This unique, therapist-developed and therapist-led 8 week class will take you through the exercises that evidence has shown can prevent, slow or stop the progressive bone loss associated with Osteoporosis.
Osteoporosis affects 200 million women worldwide and can lead to changes in posture, increased back pain and often, fractures, that can be both disabling and deadly. Combined with healthy life-style habits, proper medication and supplementation, exercise can be a powerful tool in the fight against osteoporosis. This class series is designed to be accessible to people of varied levels and abilities: options will be provided for participation at chair-level or in standing.

This 8-Week Exercise and Education Series, taught by Physical Therapist and Board-Certified Geriatric Clinical Specialist, Katie Wadland of Healthy Aging Physical Therapy, will give you the tools you need to better understand what you can do to maintain your bone density, slow bone loss and prevent osteoporosis-related fractures through lifestyle change, by making the best nutritional choices and through the right exercise and activity.

Strong Bones, Strong Life (In Studio)
Healthy Aging Physical Therapy is happy to announce we will be teaching an upcoming Fitness series with the Steinberg Wellness Center for Mind and Body called Strong Bones, Strong Life. This unique, therapist-developed and therapist-led 8 week class will take you through the exercises that evidence has shown can prevent, slow or stop the progressive bone loss associated with Osteoporosis.
Osteoporosis affects 200 million women worldwide and can lead to changes in posture, increased back pain and often, fractures, that can be both disabling and deadly. Combined with healthy life-style habits, proper medication and supplementation, exercise can be a powerful tool in the fight against osteoporosis. This class series is designed to be accessible to people of varied levels and abilities: options will be provided for participation at chair-level or in standing.
Dr. Tami DeAngelis, PT, DPT, Board-Certified Geriatric Clinical Specialist will be offering an in-studio class on Wednesday mornings from 10:00-11:00am October 27th - December 22nd, 2021.
