Strong Bones, Strong Life (Virtual)

Healthy Aging Physical Therapy is happy to announce we will be teaching an upcoming Fitness series with the Steinberg Wellness Center for Mind and Body called Strong Bones, Strong Life. This unique, therapist-developed and therapist-led 8 week class will take you through the exercises that evidence has shown can prevent, slow or stop the progressive bone loss associated with Osteoporosis.

Osteoporosis affects 200 million women worldwide and can lead to changes in posture, increased back pain and often, fractures, that can be both disabling and deadly. Combined with healthy life-style habits, proper medication and supplementation, exercise can be a powerful tool in the fight against osteoporosis. This class series is designed to be accessible to people of varied levels and abilities: options will be provided for participation at chair-level or in standing.

Dr. Katie Wadland, PT, DPT, Board-Certified Geriatric Clinical Specialist will be offering an online class on Monday afternoons from 1:15pm-2:15pm, November 15th 2021 -January 3rd 2022
