FAQ
-
1. What is Healthy Aging Physical Therapy and what makes your care unique?
Healthy Aging Physical Therapy is Medicare B certified at home physical and occupational therapy. We specialize in outpatient physical therapy at home for older adults, individuals with Parkinson’s disease, and people with complex medical conditions. Our therapists bring expert, personalized care directly to your home - eliminating travel barriers and focusing on long-term independence.
-
2. Do you accept Medicare and other insurance plans?
Yes. We accept Medicare Part B, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and most Managed Medicare plans for both in-home physical therapy and in-home occupational therapy. We also offer private pay Wellness services for patients who no longer qualify for insurance-covered therapy but want to continue progressing toward their health, strength, and balance goals. Our team will help you understand your insurance coverage and make getting started simple.
-
3. Who can benefit from Outpatient at Home Physical Therapy?
Our services are designed for adults —especially seniors — who have difficulty traveling to a clinic but want to stay active and independent. We help people with balance problems, weakness, Parkinson’s disease, osteoporosis, chronic pain, post-surgical recovery, and neurological conditions. If you want care at home, and want to improve your mobility, safety, and confidence at home, our team can help.
-
4. What conditions and diagnoses do you treat?
We provide specialized care for a variety of conditions, including Parkinson’s disease, post-stroke rehabilitation, arthritis, osteoporosis, balance disorders, vestibular conditions (dizziness/vertigo), chronic pain, orthopedic injuries, and fall risk. Our therapists also home safety evaluations, and Parkinson’s-specific exercise programs like PWR! Moves®.

5. How is Outpatient at Home Physical Therapy different from Home Health Physical Therapy?
Home Health Physical Therapy (Medicare Part A) is short-term, provided after hospitalization, and requires patients to be homebound. Outpatient at Home Physical Therapy (Medicare Part B) does not require homebound status and allows for ongoing physical therapy at home for as long as medically necessary. This model supports maintenance therapy, balance training, fall prevention, and long-term wellness programs - ideal for older adults who want to continue improving or maintaining their abilities.
