Why Choose Healthy Aging Physical Therapy ?

Healthy Aging PT is more than just PT. Healthy Aging Physical Therapy provides concierge-level care to you, in your home, or virtually. Healthy Aging PT provides you with as-needed access to a physical therapist who understands your needs and cares about your goals. Read on to learn more about the Healthy Aging experience.

Because you’re choosing Experience.

My seven years as a home health therapist and five years before that as a neurorehab outpatient therapist have left me well-versed in working with people with a wide breadth of health conditions at all stages of life. My areas of expertise include Stroke, Traumatic Brain Injury and SCI, Neurodegenerative diseases like Parkinson’s and Multiple Sclerosis and the PT management of chronic diseases like COPD, CHF, Diabetes, CAD and Arthritis. I can help you both prepare for or recover from Total Joint Replacements and other planned and unplanned surgeries. Whether you are already living an active and lifestyle or need help getting started, I have the expertise to identify and treat the structural impairments that may be impacting your function and interfering with your quality of life. I have the experience to know what I can address as a Physical Therapist, and what requires other medical intervention, allowing you to see me first, even before visiting your doctor. I believe in the value of education. The more you know about your health, the better you can manage it. And the more I know about your health - the better therapist I can be. I regularly pursue continuing education and you can read about my education and Post-Doctorate courses here. I believe in the value of holistic, patient-centered treatment. For a treatment plan to be effective, it has to start with what you want to achieve. We will work together to identify goals, priorities of treatment and an intervention plan that works for you.

Because you’re choosing Continued Care.

Despite the best of intentions, people often lack the follow through to continue with their home exercise program after discharge from physical therapy. This leads to relapses of pain and dysfunction and I believe establishing a plan for continuity after your care is the key to keeping you healthy. Healthy Aging Physical Therapy provides options for ongoing care after therapy discharge with continued 1:1 wellness sessions or through planned Booster Sessions or Maintenance Programs. Once an Healthy Aging patient, always a Healthy Aging patient: I am committed to staying in touch after your discharge to help you stay on your program, make changes as needed and keep you healthy for the long run.

And because you’re choosing Me. Just Me.

Choosing Healthy Aging Physical Therapy is choosing concierge-level care. You won’t see me one day and a different therapist the next. I don’t work with any aides or PT assistants. You’ll get to know me, and I get to know you. Think of Healthy Aging PT as a ‘primary care physical therapist.’ You can call me for help when you need it, ask me for guidance when issues arise and schedule visits annually if you’d like a yearly check-up to see how things are going. All physical therapy sessions are provided to you in the privacy and comfort of your own home where you will receive the individualized, expert care that will help keep you there.
