About Amanda Holt, MS, OTR/L

Medicare-covered therapy services

Amanda is a licensed Occupational Therapist (#12799) who specializes in neurological and older adult rehabilitation. Since receiving her Master of Science from Tufts University in 2017, she has worked with patients across the continuum of care including acute hospitalizations, inpatient rehab, home care, and the outpatient setting. While she prides herself on her ability to connect with and help patients regardless of their diagnosis, her expertise lies in working with people with Parkinson's Disease, cognitive impairments, and visual deficits. She also has extensive training and experience with treating persistent post-concussion symptoms and has been a key team member in providing post-COVID rehabilitation at Newton Wellesley Ambulatory Care Center where she continues to work part-time.

Amanda is passionate about helping older adults maintain independence in their day-to-day lives, and believes in taking a whole person approach to evaluation and treatment. Her time at Newton Wellesley has allowed her to expand her skillset in this area through advanced education and experience in assessing the safety of older adult drivers. She is now frequently requested to provide education and guidance on the topic of safe driving to community-dwelling adults, families, and medical providers, which she finds to be one of the most rewarding aspects of her role as an Occupational Therapist.

Amanda sees patients living in Stoneham, Reading, Melrose and Medford, Massachusetts and virtually via Telehealth. Amanda also runs our Driving Assessment and Low Vision Assessment programs. To request an evaluation with Amanda Holt, OTR/L, fill out the form below:
